I was born in Gillingham, in Windmill Road, 1942 and moved in 1946/7 to the disused Army Camp in Maidstone Road. There I stayed until my parents obtained a council house in Gillingham in about 1955. I attended the Primary School at 'The Camp' under the headmastership of Mr Rivers. I would be so grateful if you have any information or photographs of 'The Camp' - especially of the school - as it seems to have entirely disappeared!
